This Privacy Policy describes how Dawri Tadrees (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Dawri Tadrees mobile application.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who this App is for
Dawri Tadrees is a school football tournament companion app. It provides match schedules and results, standings and leaderboards, announcements, optional restaurant/menu ordering from a linked wallet balance, push notifications, and tournament registration forms for eligible participants (students, parents/spectators, staff, and committee members).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and identity
When you activate or sign in to an account, we process:
- Customer / student ID (account identifier provided by the tournament organizers)
- Name associated with that ID
- Phone number(s) on file (student and/or parent phone), used to verify account activation
- Password (stored only as a secure one-way hash; we do not store your plaintext password)
- Role in the tournament system (for example player, spectator, committee, or admin), used to control which features you can access
2.2 Wallet, orders, and transactions
If you use restaurant or booth ordering features, we process:
- Wallet balance and related balance history
- Order details (items, amounts, restaurant, order status such as pending, accepted, or rejected)
- Information needed when authorized staff place an order on behalf of a customer
Purchases are processed through our linked Payments system. Balance is deducted according to that system’s rules.
2.3 Tournament and sports data
Depending on your participation, the App may display or process:
- Team membership and player information
- Match fixtures, scores, rounds, and standings
- Match statistics (for example goals, cards, man of the match)
This tournament data is maintained for running and following the competition.
2.4 Notifications
If you allow notifications, we may collect and store:
- An Expo push notification token for your device
- Your notification preferences (for example announcements, score updates, balance/order updates, broadcasts)
Push notification tokens are used solely to deliver notifications that you choose to receive and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can change notification preferences in the App settings. You can also disable notifications in iOS Settings.
2.5 Forms and registrations
If you register for a tournament form (for example singles or team registration), we collect the information you submit, such as your account ID and teammate account IDs where required.
2.6 Information stored on your device
The App may store on your device:
- Sign-in access and refresh tokens (in the device secure storage)
- App preferences such as language, appearance/theme, and (for guests) local notification preference settings
2.7 Technical and operational data
Our servers may process standard technical information needed to operate the service, such as:
- API authentication tokens and session-related security data
- Device platform (for example iOS) associated with a push token
- Server logs used for security, debugging, and reliability (which may include IP address and request metadata)
2.8 Information we do not collect
We do not use the App to collect:
- Precise GPS location for tracking
- Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or Health data (unless a future update adds such a feature and this policy is updated)
- Advertising identifiers for third-party advertising
- Payment card numbers entered in the App (wallet top-ups and balances are managed through the tournament Payments system, not by entering card details in this App)
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and authenticate accounts and keep your session signed in
- Verify activation using phone numbers on file
- Show tournament content (matches, standings, teams, announcements)
- Process and confirm food/booth orders against your wallet balance
- Send push and in-app notifications you have enabled (scores, announcements, balance/order updates, broadcasts)
- Allow tournament form registration
- Support committee/admin operations needed to run the event (reports, customer support actions, moderation)
- Secure the service (rate limiting, abuse prevention, audit logging of sensitive admin actions)
- Improve reliability and fix defects
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. Legal bases / nature of processing
The App is operated for a school tournament. We process personal data as needed to:
- Provide the service you request (account, content, orders, notifications, forms)
- Meet organizational and operational needs of the tournament
- Protect the security and integrity of accounts and balances
Where consent is required (for example push notifications), we ask for your permission on the device.
5. How we share information
We may share information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the App, such as cloud hosting, database hosting, and push-delivery infrastructure (for example Expo’s push notification service). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.
- Linked Payments system used for wallet balances and purchases (order and balance data necessary to complete transactions).
- Tournament organizers / authorized staff (committee, admins, restaurants) who need access to fulfill orders, manage customers, or administer the tournament.
- Legal or safety requirements, if we are required to disclose information by law or to protect users, funds, or the integrity of the event.
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Data retention
We retain account, tournament, order, balance, notification, and registration records for as long as needed to operate the tournament and related services, meet record-keeping needs, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
You may request account deactivation in the App (where available). Deactivation removes or disables app login for your ID according to the App’s deactivation flow; some operational records (for example historical orders or balance logs in the Payments system) may remain as part of the tournament’s financial and event records.
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:
- Passwords stored as salted cryptographic hashes
- Encrypted transport (HTTPS) for production API communication
- Tokens stored in the device’s secure storage where provided by the OS
- Server-side authorization controls by role
- Limited access for administrative functions
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please protect your password and device.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is used in connection with a school tournament and may be used by students. Accounts are provisioned or activated through the tournament’s registration process (typically using an assigned ID and phone number on file). We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child’s information has been handled incorrectly, contact us using the details below.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your situation and applicable law, you may:
- Access or update certain profile information through the App or by contacting organizers
- Change notification preferences in Settings, or disable notifications in iOS Settings
- Sign out of the App
- Deactivate app login (where the feature is available)
- Request information about data held about you, or request correction, by contacting us
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
10. International processing
Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than where you live (for example cloud hosting regions). By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed in those locations with appropriate safeguards used by our providers.
11. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party infrastructure such as:
- Apple (App Store distribution, push delivery on iOS)
- Expo (app updates / push token infrastructure, as configured)
- Cloud hosting and database providers used to run the Dawri Tadrees API and related systems
Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
